If you love your road trips or heading into the bush, add these items to the back of your vehicle just in case. As scary as it may seem, carry a seatbelt cutter, road flares, and fire extinguisher. For winter driving trips, throw some kitty litter in your vehicle to be used in the event of needing traction on icy roads, antifreeze, a small shovel, and warmers. In addition, have some energy bars or other non-perishable food items and bottled water as you never know how long you might have to wait for roadside assistance. It’s smart to have a flashlight, extra batteries, tow rope, and tool kit.
